Two Single Wheels Landing Gear System!

This is something I thought of many years ago, but never tried. Now it is in operation on the Salmon Streak. And it works well! One single wheel is permanently attached. It is only long enough to protect the muffler on landing. It will not allow takeoff. But hand launching is an option. However I want the option of stooge launching. So in comes the single takeoff wheel. The single takeoff wheel slips into a hole in the bottom of the fuselage. The wire has a spur on it to prevent turning during takeoff. But it falls out of the hole as soon as the plane leaves the ground. In other words the takeoff wheel is a drop-off item that is only held on by the weight of the plane resting on the ground. This allows stooge launching but also minimizes weight and drag during flight. Try it sometime.
